Esthetics focuses on skincare. From refining surface texture to addressing skin issues or enhancing natural beauty with makeup, estheticians get to help their clients look and feel their very best. Our Basic Esthetics Program is designed to help you learn the foundations of professional skincare, preparing you to sit for the State license exam and explore a future as a professional esthetician.

We offer multiple program start dates and flexible scheduling options so you can fit your esthetician training into your busy schedule. RACE focuses on developing a supportive learning environment with smaller class sizes that ensure you can get more one-on-one mentoring from our experienced instructors. They’ll help you develop your skills, going beyond esthetics and sharing valuable insights on sales, marketing, and the business of working in a salon. You can also work with real clients in our student salon, building your confidence as an esthetician while you refine your skincare skills!

What jobs are available with Basic Esthetics Program?

Basic Esthetics students could go on to provide professional skincare services and apply makeup in salons and spas. Other careers can include becoming a freelance artist, state board member or inspector, school owner, industry educator, and more.

Our instructors teach more than basic esthetics, too, ensuring you have a foundational knowledge of the salon business, including sales and marketing, so you can pursue your dream career no matter where it might take you. It’s a great way to expand your job potential and give you a chance to live out your dream as a professional in the beauty industry.

Is financial aid available for the Basic Esthetics program?

How long does the Basic Esthetics program take to complete?

Students are required to complete 600 hours of training. We offer on-site instruction at our Provo Utah campus and 50% of the required hours will be completed remotely. With so many flexible options and classes starting throughout the year, we can help you find a start date and course schedule that works with your busy life.

Do I work with real clients while training as an esthetician?

All RACE students have an opportunity to work with real clients in our student salon under the supervision of licensed professionals. It’s a terrific way to build your skincare skills and learn how to deliver services that clients love. Our instructors will be by your side to help and support you and ensure clients get the best possible treatment results.
