Paying for Beauty School is Possible! Learn How

Our programs are an investment in your future. But we know that cost might be a concern when paying for your education. However, financial aid and payment plan options can make your program more affordable. Learn more about the options available and how you can apply. Financial aid is available to those who qualify.

Financial Aid Options for Provo Beauty School Students

There are many ways to help reduce the cost of your education at RACE! Here are some of the options we encourage all students to explore:

Private Lending

Local banks and credit unions often provide 100% financing through student-based loans or lines of credit. Contact your institution to determine their options for students.

Veteran Loans

RACE is approved to train veterans. Visit the Veterans Benefits Administration’s Education and Training page to learn more.

Federal Student Aid

We strongly encourage all prospective students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). This free, no-obligation application can help you access financial aid programs and low-interest student loans. You can fill out the FAFSA® here. Be sure to add our student code: 041530. Talk to our Financial Aid team if you need assistance or advice on your application.

The free application can help connect you with many excellent ways of financing your beauty school education, including:

  • Pell Grants. Unlike loans, you don’t have to repay any money received from a Pell Grant. Grants are awarded based on need, and you can use the money to cover tuition, fees, or your student kit. 
  • Low-interest federal student loans. You may be eligible for an education loan from the Department of Education. These low-interest loans can make paying for your education more affordable.

Scholarships

There are many scholarships available from local community and beauty industry organizations. We encourage students to find and apply for these scholarships. One or two scholarships can go a long way toward helping you pay for your education!
Here are a few you can look into, but do your own research to find more opportunities:

State Grants

RACE will certify enrollment for the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation. Contact these organizations for more information.

Monthly Personal Financing Plans Available

Loans, grants, and scholarships may pay for all or part of your education. Many of our students end up paying for some of their education themselves. We offer monthly payment plans for all or part of your tuition to make those payments easier and accept cash, checks, or credit cards. Contact our Financial Aid office for details about these payment plans and how you can get started.

Financial Aid FAQs

Are there any scholarships available through the school?

RACE may periodically grant a scholarship or fee waiver to a student, which may be based on merit or need. Two or more faculty members make the decision. All decisions are final and may not be appealed.

What if I don't qualify for financial aid?

Financial aid is available to those who qualify. If you don’t qualify for financial aid, other options can help you pay for your education at RACE. Talk to our Financial Aid team about personal and private financial options and our flexible monthly payment plans.

Do you accept financial aid for all of your programs?

Some of our programs are not eligible for federal financial aid programs. However, all programs have options to make beauty school affordable, including scholarships and loans. Our financial aid department can help you determine your program’s best payment and financing options.
