Federal Student Aid, scholarships, veteran benefits, private lending and monthly payment plans can all help cover your program. Federal aid is available for those who qualify in eligible programs, and our Financial Aid team will help you with each step.
Program costs
Total program cost includes tuition and kit or supplies. A $75 application fee is charged separately.

Program costs are subject to change; costs in effect on your start date appear in your enrollment agreement. These are school charges, not the full Cost of Attendance used for financial aid.

Local community and beauty industry organizations offer scholarships, and one or two can go a long way toward paying for your education.
RACE is approved to train veterans under the GI Bill®. GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
Local banks and credit unions often provide financing through student loans or lines of credit. Contact your institution about its options for students.
RACE will certify enrollment for the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation. Contact them for more information.
Loans, grants and scholarships may pay for all or part of your education, and many students pay part of it themselves. RACE offers monthly payment plans for all or part of your tuition and accepts cash, checks or credit cards. For Nail Technology and Lash & Brow Technology, card payments carry a 3% processing fee and bank transfers 1%; these fees are not included in the program total. Contact our Financial Aid office for details about these payment plans and how you can get started.
Scholarships
RACE accepts private scholarships awarded by outside organizations. Students who receive a private scholarship should contact RACE Student Accounts to provide award documentation and coordinate payment. Scholarship eligibility, award amounts, restrictions, and disbursement timing are determined by the awarding organization. RACE does not guarantee scholarship availability or awards.

Financial aid FAQ
Federal Student Aid is available for eligible programs (Cosmetology, Hair Design and Master Esthetics) to those who qualify. It is not available for the 300-hour Nail Technology or 270-hour Lash & Brow Technology programs. Every program has other ways to pay, including scholarships, private loans and payment plans, and our Financial Aid team can help you determine your program's best payment and financing options.

RACE may periodically grant a scholarship or fee waiver based on merit or need. Two or more faculty members make the decision, and decisions are final.
Total program costs are $19,998 for Cosmetology, $16,300 for Hair Design, $18,568 for Master Esthetics, $5,845 for Nail Technology and $5,495 for Lash & Brow. A $75 application fee is separate.
